Clean Game Cartoon Series
A popular dancehall cartoon called The Clean Game which has been getting major attention on the Internet, is alleged to have gone corporate courtesy of Yaad Stout. Scripted by Byrd Villain and animated by Ernie Dark, the cartoon has carved out an audience for itself, as YouTube viewers are said to be keeping up with the episodes religiously.
According to Byrd Villain....
he intended to do a new episode every three weeks but due to numerous requests he is making plans to release a new episode every two weeks. "The quality is good and the voices are coming on and that was the most difficult part. We have been getting hundreds of thousands of views online and people are saying that it's unique and are making requests," he said. The current episodes are heavily linked to dancehall music and personalities, but Byrd says that the cartoons will not only be about music. "It's not only going to be about music, but dancehall music is very popular so we just want to highlight the artistes and we promote them through the comedy of the cartoons," he said.
According to Byrd, many upcoming artistes have made requests to have their songs made into a cartoon animation, but while the Clean Game is about promotion of both established and young talents, the product has to have good quality. "We get requests from many artistes, but sometimes the song is not suitable for a cartoon so we only accept a few of those offers," he said. The Clean Game YouTube channel currently has 458,010 views and growing.
The latest cartoon which has tongues wagging appears to be advertising Corey Todd's Yaad Stout beer.
The cartoon has received 8,750 views and counting, in less than a month. The storyline depicts a character resembling Aidonia and another resembling Corey Todd, the controversy unwinds with Yaad Stout getting the better of a beer that supposedly turns up at the Club Riddim nightclub. The character resembling Aidonia then says, "Yaad Stout a di real beer suh leave here ... mmm yes papa, yu si dat". The cartoon concluded with the intruding beer missing, and Yaad Stout left standing.
Byrd Villain did not wish to comment on the cartoon as it relates to the existence, or potential existence of a deal with Corey Todd. "Mi nuh really waah sey nothing bout dat enuh, betta yu call Corey," he said.
The STAR made several attempts to get Corey Todd's comment but both cellphones went to voice mail.
The animation genius and his team are currently working on a new episode of Clean Game to be released. He is also making preparations for an upcoming music video for a song called Ali.
