But they are of their own strain. "We take what we like out of the music and we use it to glorify God," said lead singer Mark Mohr.

Rihanna has become the latest in a long line of celebrities to fall victim to sex tape rumors. But after adult entertainment company Hustler told Radar Online that it had obtained video of the "Man Down" singer and rapper J. Cole, both artists tweeted denials of the tape's existence.
"We don't believe U, U need more people...AND of course an actual sextape! #slownewsday," Rihanna posted on Wednesday night.
Cole, who opened for Rihanna's Loud tour, also used his Twitter to react to the report, writing early Thursday morning (August 25), "Gossip Gossip, n---a just stop it."
The denials came after a rep for Hustler delivered a statement to Radar, saying, "Hustler [is] in possession of the Rihanna and J. Cole tape. We have seen it and we do not know what we are going to do with it yet."
While Rihanna has spoken out against this latest controversy to befall her, some of those closest to her have opted to focus on other news. "@rihanna #Cheers is gonna go #1 for sure! Just like Only Girl! I'm betting shots of patron in Brazil on it NOW! I drink to dat!" Katy Perry tweeted, referring to Rihanna's latest single, "Cheers," which currently sits at the #17 spot on the Billboard Hot 100.

Last Friday marked the fifth anniversary of roots legend Joseph Hill's death. The former lead singer and songwriter of the group, Culture, died at age 57 after collapsing in Germany. The power of Hill's message continues to reach fans, mainly through reissued albums and his son Kenyatta, who has taken up his father's mantle since his death. Kenyatta Hill's latest album, Live On: Tribute to Culture, was released in March digitally by Zojak Worldwide. It was produced by Dean Pond, who has worked with many reggae artistes going back to the late 1970s. Live On contains Kenyatta Hill's interpretation of several of Culture's biggest hits including the immortal Two Sevens Clash andInternational Herbsman. Kenyatta Hill was his father's sound engineer on tour. He only took up singing after his father's passing. In a recent interview with The Quad-City Times, the younger Hill spoke about the unenviable task of filling his father's huge shoes. "The fans are like, 'We hear Joseph'. But for me, I'm doing what my dad would have wanted me to do," he said. Born in Linstead, St Catherine, Joseph Hill was a percussionist at Studio One, playing on hit songs like Freddie McKay's Hanging On The Wallbefore forming Culture in the mid-1970s. The trio was a hit almost immediately with Jah Jah (See Them a Come)for producer Joe Gibbs. In 1977, the group really struck it big with the powerful Two Sevens Clash, which warned of chaos on the day (July 7, 1977) the sevens clashed.

The Ethiopian Orthodox Church (EOC) in Jamaica has distanced itself from the wedding of reggae crooner Siccature 'Jah Cure' Alcock and television personality Kamilia McDonald.
The ceremony that took place at the Tryall Golf Hotel in Hanover on August 7 was noted to be an Ethiopian Orthodox Ceremony. In one television interview McDonald said she was baptised in the EOC when she was 16 years old and that she could not imagine doing things any other way.
However, on August 14, a notice in THE SUNDAY GLEANER claimed that the EOC had nothing to do with the ceremony. The notice further stated that the event should not have been carried out under the name of the church because it would have been in defiance of a decision that was made in the Supreme Court on June 15, 2007, indicating that schism are no longer members or part of the church and prevents their occupation of church premises.
